ARP Analytics was founded on a simple principle: that complex programmes deserve honest, rigorous cost intelligence — not the numbers someone wants to hear.
My work spans the full cost engineering lifecycle — from early-stage parametric models at concept, through detailed bottom-up estimates at business case, to independent cost reviews at approval gates. I have supported some of the UK's largest and most sensitive programmes, working directly with MOD, prime contractors, and infrastructure clients.
I am an independent, specialist consultant by design. Every engagement is led personally, with the rigour and attention to detail that high-stakes programmes demand.
About Andy
Andy Pearson is an experienced analytical consultant with more than 20 years of expertise helping organisations solve complex engineering and business challenges through rigorous analysis, modelling and cost engineering.
His career has spanned defence, automotive and advanced engineering, where he has supported major programmes with evidence-based decision making, cost modelling, reliability and maintainability analysis, through-life costing and strategic analytical insight.
Throughout his career, Andy has held senior technical and leadership roles with leading organisations including CDS Defence & Security, Babcock International, Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems and General Dynamics. This breadth of experience provides a unique perspective on how analytical techniques can be applied across different industries to improve performance, reduce risk and support better investment decisions.
Andy specialises in translating complex technical information into clear, practical recommendations. Whether supporting procurement decisions, developing cost models, assessing system performance or evaluating strategic options, his approach combines technical rigour with commercial awareness to help clients make confident, evidence-based decisions.
Andy is a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (FIMA) and a Member of the Association of Cost Engineers (MAcostE). He is also pursuing Chartered Mathematician (CMath) status, reflecting his continued commitment to professional excellence and analytical best practice.
He believes that the best decisions are built on robust evidence, sound engineering judgement and a clear understanding of cost, performance and risk. His goal is to provide clients with independent, objective analysis that enables informed decisions and delivers long-term value.
